I'm a PhD Candidate at the University of Calgary, researching diasporic South Asian girlhood in the media, identity negotiation, and self-advocacy online. I approach my work with an intersectional feminist and anti-racist lens. Welcome!

Right now, I'm analyzing media representations of South Asian girls who live in the Global North. This is includes legacy media (tv & film) and online/social media, like TikTok. I also conducted a workshop last summer with a group of wonderful girls to learn firsthand about their experiences and identity-building.
